Apartment Fire 14800blk Bowie Rd 22 July 2007
At 0154 hours, units from Laurel and the surrounding area were dispatched to the 14800 block of Bowie Road for the apartment fire. Rescue Engine 49 arrived and reported they had a three-story, garden apartment with fire from the roof.
At 0200 hours, the second alarm was sounded bringing Truck 14 and Chief 14 (Fusco). Truck 14 arrived and staged initially. Chief 14 assisted at the Command Post.
With fire extending to exposure buildings, Truck 14 was quickly put to work in exposure D. The truck split crews. The laddermen threw 17 ground ladders from numerous trucks on the scene. The interior crew utilized a ground ladder to stretch an attack line to the third floor, search, and open up.
Three alarms were required to bring the fire under control. Truck 14 cleared the scene at 0503 hours.
