At 0247 hours, Truck 14 and Chief 14 responded on Box 48-24 in the area of Goddard Road and Greenbelt Road for the house fire.  First arriving Engine 181 (Glenn Dale) arrived at the correct address in the 9200 block of Copernicus Drive with a two-story dwelling with heavy fire showing.  Truck 14 arrived, positioned on side alpha, and went to work throwing ground ladders and opening up.  Truck 14’s crew acquired two hand lines on the first and second floor, while the rest of the crew completed a primary search.

With the amount of fire present and a partial structural collapse, crews were ordered to evacuate.  The fire extended to the delta exposure.  Truck 14 was reassigned to the delta exposure where they opened up from inside and cut ventilation holes.  Chief 14 (Fusco) had the Command of the delta exposure.

Truck 14 was ready for service at 0544 hours.
