At 1311 hours, Rescue Squad 14 and Chief 14A (McCoy) responded to Powder Mill Road and Edmonston Road for the personal injury accident, with reports of an overturned SUV with one trapped.  EMS 11 was first on scene and confirmed one overturned with one trapped.

Rescue Squad 14 with 8 volunteers and Chief 14A arrived shortly after and went to work.  The squad crew quickly stabilized the vehicle with rescue struts and cribbing.  After the vehicle was stabilized, four doors and a B-post were removed to provide patient access.

In total, there were 7 patients.  The one patient, who was trapped, was quickly extricated and loaded into Maryland State Police Trooper 8 for transport to a local trauma center.  Rescue Squad 14 was ready for service at 1335 hours.
