At 1703 hours, Rescue Squad 14, Ambulance 149, and Chief 14 (Fusco) were dispatched to a first-due rescue local at Greenbelt Road and Kenilworth Avenue.  The text on the call advised of a personal injury accident involving a Prince George’s County police car versus a taxi cab, with two officers trapped.

The units from 14 arrived to find confirm the reports of two trapped in the police car and immediately started extrication efforts.  The 8 volunteers on the squad quickly stabilized the car and removed the glass.  Next, the doors, B-posts, and roof were removed.  The patients were quickly extricated, loaded into Medic 12 and Ambulance 149, and transported to a local trauma center.

Rescue Squad 14 was ready for service at 1741 hours.
