At 1228 hours, Rescue Squad 14 was alerted to the innerloop of I-495 at I-95 for an accident involving about five vehicles.  Units arrived on scene and reported they had two trapped.

Rescue Squad 14 with 8 volunteers arrived and found entrapment in two vehicles that were a good distance apart.  Crew one took the simo pump, spreaders, cutters, and cribbing to one car and removed a door to free a patient.  At the same time, crew two stabilized a car and removed the roof and a door to free a trapped subject.

Extrication was completed quickly by the squad.  A total of five patients were transported to area hospitals.  Rescue Squad 14 was ready for service at 1258 hours.
