With the tree stabilized, a box crib platform was constructed and a medium pressure air bag was inflated to lift the tree off the car. Once the tree was elevated, Rescue Squad 22 winched the car back. Finally, Rescue Squad 14 removed the passenger's side doors and roof, while Rescue Squad 22 removed the driver's side doors. Both patients were extricated. Unfortunately the driver was a priority 4 and the passenger was transported as a priority 1 to a local trauma center. Rescue Squad 14 cleared the scene at 1752 hours.
