Chief 14A (Fabrizio) & Squad 14
At 1233 hours, Company 14 was alerted to 5717 Greenbelt Metro Dr for reports of a person struck by a metro train. Company 14 went on scene and confirmed that 1 patient was beneath the train in the track beds. C14A established command while the Squad crew went to work confirming that power was shut down to the track bed. Company 14 worked closely with Metro PD and Metro Transit personnel to ensure the train and tracks were secure prior to making patient contact. Once the train was secure, personnel made contact with the patient for initial evaluation and to begin forming a plan for removal. Crews utilized a sked and ropes to remove the patient from beneath the train. Company 14 was ready for service at 1331 hours.
