At 1827 hours on January 26th, units were dispatched to the 5600 block of Columbia Park Road in Company 38’s (Chapel Oaks) area.

Units arrived to find a commercial warehouse with fire showing. The working fire dispatch was immediately added to the call bringing Truck 14 and additional units to the scene.

Initial units attempted an interior attack before signs of collapse forced them to abandon the effort. Shortly thereafter, the assignment was upgraded to a second alarm and master streams were placed in service.

Truck 14’s crew was assigned as part of the Rapid Intervention Team while the Driver and Tillerman operated the ladder pipe. Crews remained on scene for an extended period of time. Chief 14B had safety.
