June 6th-Rescue Squad 14/ Technical Rescue Support 14 and their volunteer crews were alerted to the 13440Blk of Baltimore Ave in Laurel for a reported High-Angle Rescue. With other County specialty rescue units unavailable, BHVFD was the only Technical Rescue team available to respond. Laurel VFD arrived at the indoor amusement park, and found 1 juvenile & 1 adult trapped on a zip line 15’ from ground. BHVFD volunteer rescue technicians arrived and established a plan. Using 35ft extension ladders, rescue techs placed the child in a rescue harness, built a new pully system on the zipline, cut the zipline harness, and lowered the unharmed child to the ground.
