BHVFD’s Jamie Simpson Recognized for her service as County’s Volunteer ALS Coordinator
October 2nd: Prince George’s County Deputy Fire Chief Brian Frankel and Assistant Fire Chief Michael Lambert presented our own Berwyn Heights Volunteer Paramedic Jaime Simpson with an award thanking her for her 12 years of service as the County’s Volunteer ALS Coordinator. She accomplished a lot in that role to include a dramatic expansion of our Volunteer Paramedic Ambulance program to stations such as Hyattsville VFD, College Park VFD, Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad, Branchville VFD, and of course Berwyn Heights VFD.
In addition to her role overseeing the County’s volunteer Paramedic Ambulance program, Jamie is one of the volunteer paramedics at Berwyn Heights VFD. Volunteer paramedics allow for us to upgrade our Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance to an Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedic ambulance. THANK YOU to everything you do Jamie!
