Co. 14 Runs Back-to-Back Working Fires
Oct 28th- at 9:24pm Rescue Squad 14 and its volunteer crew were alerted as the search company to the 2500 Blk of Kirston St in Co.34’s area for the report of a house on fire. Units arrived on the scene with smoke showing and started the Working Fire Dispatch. SQ814 arrived on the scene and went to work completing searches throughout, securing utilities and assisting engine companies open up before returning to service. Chief 814B had the command
At 10:54pm shortly after returning from the previous box alarm Truck 814 was dispatched as the 3rd due special service to the 5600 Blk of Whitfield Chapel Rd in Co.28’s area for the reported balcony on fire extending into an apartment. Units arrived on the scene and confirmed the initial reports of fire from the balcony and fire in the common pipe chase, prompting the Working Fire Dispatch. Truck 14’s outside team laddered the structure while the inside team assisted on Divisions 2 and 3 with suppression duties, opening up for the engine companies, and providing ventilation and overhaul duties before returning to service.
