At 1500 hours, Company 14 was dispatched to the 5400 block of Berwyn Rd in 14’s 1st due. Company 14 arrived on scene to find that the pedestrian bridge that spans the Metro and MARC train tracks had been struck by a piece of construction equipment and had partially collapsed. After assessing the area it was found that all construction personnel were accounted for and ok and that no trains had been involved.  The scene was turned back over to the construction company, the Metro and MARC tracks were shut down for several hours while the crew cleaned up and repaired the tracks. Company 14 was ready for service at 1514 hours.
