At 0430 hours Engine 31 from Beltsville went on scene of a wreck in the 11300 block of Edmonton Rd to find a garbage truck that had collided with a car. Engine 31 called for the Rescue Squad for multiple people being trapped.

Upon arrival Battalion 6 (Kiernan) assumed command and the Squad went to work on the car. 1 fatality was confirmed by the crew and a second patient was trapped in the back that was a working trauma code that was pinned.

Squad 14 stabilized the car and quickly removed a door to remove the priority 1 patient. Squad 14 was ready for service at 0510 hours.
