The Berwyn Heights Volunteer Fire Department is proud to announce that we have entered into a contract with Atlantic Emergency Solutions to purchase a 2020 Ford F550/Wheeled Coach Type I Ambulance. Production is expected to start later this spring, with a tentative delivery date of late summer. This ambulance will serve primarily as a BLS unit but have the capability to be upgraded to an ALS unit as staffing permits. This unit will allow the Department to surplus our 2003 reserve ambulance. The new unit is being built to the County’s specifications to allow for streamlined maintenance and familiarity within the County system. Below are the order drawings:
