At 1358 hours, Company 14 was alerted for reports of a truck driver trapped against a guardrail.

Company 14 arrived on scene to find the driver had become pinned between the tractor-trailer and the guardrail.

The tractor-trailer was secured and the Squad crew utilized cribbing, power saws, and Amkus cutters and spreaders to cut a section of the guard rail away.

The patient was pinned in front of the I-beam support for the guard rail. 2 sets of Amkus spreaders were utilized to bend the support rail and remaining piece of guardrail away from the patient’s legs.

Chief 14A had the rescue group. Company 14 was ready for service at 1431 hours.
