March 3rd (3:00 PM) – Rescue Squad 14 was dispatched to a large brush fire with extension to houses in the 8000 block of 24th Ave in Adelphi. The squad split into two teams: Team 1 searched the primary fire building and exposed hidden fire in the walls and attic for the engine company to extinguish, while Team 2 evacuated nearby exposures and assisted with fire suppression efforts. After the fire was knocked down, Rescue Squad 14 worked on the roof of the primary building to extinguish hot spots.
