April 19th- While out conducting tillerman driver-training, the volunteer crew of Ladder Truck 14 came across an accident with one overturned on the Outer-loop of the Capitol Beltway (I-495/I-95) near the Baltimore Washington Parkway. The Officer requested a basic rescue assignment, and then had it upgraded when the crew discovered the driver was still trapped inside. The Truck crew worked to stabilize the vehicle and begin the extrication process with the Amkus tools and extrication equipment carried by on the unit. The truck crew extricated the patient and turned them over the awaiting EMS units.
