July 24th- Ladder Truck 14 was dispatched to the 1800Blk of Metzerott Rd in Adelphi for an odor of smoke. While responding, the box alarm assignment was filled with reports of smoke on the 20th floor of the high rise. The volunteer crew of Truck 14 went to the reported apartment and found smoke coming from the door. TK14 located a fire in a back room of the apartment. TK14 conducted searches and checked for extension. TK14 operated for an hour before returning in service.
