“Volunteer Firefighter for a Day”
April 28th- Members were on hand at MFRI HQ to assist the Prince George’s County Volunteer Fire Rescue Association with the first annual “Volunteer Firefighter for a Day Event.” This event allowed local politicians to see what it is like to be a firefighter and to get some hands-on experience with actual firefighting activities. Company 14 was on hand to do assist with an extrication demonstration and to show the participants the job of a rescue squad. Members were able to assist the participants with cutting a car before discussing the other roles Company 14 plays in the Prince George’s County Fire Department.
