Earlier this morning Truck and Squad 14 arrived simultaneously at a house fire only a few blocks from the firehouse.

At 1827 hours on January 26th, units were dispatched to the 5600 block of Columbia Park Road in Company 38’s (Chapel Oaks) area. Units arrived to find a commercial warehouse with fire showing. The working fire dispatch was immediately added to the call bringing Truck 14 and additional units to the scene.

At 2032 hours, Truck 14 was dispatched for the house fire in the 9500 block of Sheridan St on Box 48-19.

At 1719 hours, Truck 14 was dispatched to the 6000 block of 85th Pl in Company 28’s first due. First arriving units found fire in a bedroom. The truck crew went to work completing primary searches, ventilating, and opening up for the engine crew. Truck 14 operated with 5 men and was ready for service at 1858 hours.

Units from Company 10 went on scene with a 2 story, single family dwelling with fire showing at 145 Irving St. Truck 14 was transferred to Company 10 to backfill, while en-route Truck 14 and Engine 9 were called to the scene to assist units.

At 0512 hours Company 14 was dispatched for the house fire in the 14100 block of Ledbury Ct in Laurel. Truck 14 was the 2nd arriving special service.

Truck 14 and Squad 14 arrived as the first and second arriving special services and initiated primary searches. Prior to our arrival, 2 victims had been reportedly removed from the house by bystanders.

At 0445 hours Company 14 was dispatched to the 8400 blk of Greenbelt Rd for the apartment fire. Co 48 went on scene with smoke showing from the terrace level of a 3 story apartment building. Truck 14 and Squad 14 were the second and third arriving units and the first and second arriving special services.
