Saturday June 27th, 2020-  Rescue Squad 14B was dispatched as the Technical Rescue Support Unit for industrial farm accident in the Glenn Dale area of the County. While enroute, PSC (Public Safety Communications) updated incoming units that there was a male subject with his leg trapped under a mini skidsteer. Rescue Squad 18 (Glenn Dale VFD) arrived on scene and confirmed the patient was trapped. Technical Rescue Companies 14 and 6 arrived on the scene moments after. Both TR Companies worked hand in hand and came up with a game plan to extricate. With the heavy rains that had came through the area in the days prior, conditions were more difficult to operate on due to the soft and wet soil. Companies operated for approximately 45 minutes and were able to extricate the patient. The patient was turned over to Paramedic Ambulance 18 and transported to a local trauma center with non life threatening injuries.
