Nov 7th- At around 2100 hours the volunteer crew staffing Truck 14 & Chief 14B were alerted to respond to the 6800 block of Distribution Drive in Beltsville for a reported building fire. While enroute communications received additional calls reporting fire through the roof. Engine 31 arrived on scene confirming fire through the roof and requested the working fire dispatch and fire task force. Truck 14’s crew worked to gain entry through roll up doors. Once inside they preformed searches, checked for extension and assisted with extinguishment. Truck 14s driver and tillerman went to the roof to preform vertical ventilation and extinguish the fire on the roof. Truck 14 was on scene for approximately two and half hours before returning to service.
