July 18th- Ladder Truck 14 was dispatched to the 4900blk of Philadelphia Way in Lanham to fill in the Box Alarm assignment and Working Fire Dispatch for a commercial building fire, as the engine company dispatched for a fire alarm discovered smoke showing upon arrival. Both BHVFD Fire Chief 14 (McCoy) and Assistant Chief 14B (Kiernan) marked up on the call as well. Upon arrival the volunteer crew of Truck 14 split with the interior crew reporting inside to assist in opening up for the engine companies, while the driver and tillerman reported to the roof to provide vertical ventilation. Chief 14 & Chief 14B operated at the Command Post.
