At 1500 hours, Company 14 was dispatched to the 5400 block of Berwyn Rd in 14’s 1st due. Company 14 arrived on scene to find that the pedestrian bridge that spans the Metro and MARC train tracks had been struck by a piece of construction equipment and had partially collapsed.

At 1358 hours, Company 14 was alerted for reports of a truck driver trapped against a guardrail. Company 14 arrived on scene to find the driver had become pinned between the tractor-trailer and the guardrail.

At 1306 hours while conducting an extrication drill outback of the firehouse, Squad 14 was alerted to the 9300 block of Cherry Hill Rd for reports of maintenance workers being trapped in a trash compactor.
